Rush loves the NFL, the NFL doesn't love Rush

What has happened to this country? As I understand the way a capitalist system works, if someone has something they wish to sell and you have a means of currency and a desire to purchase that item, a transaction can take place. When did the public perceptions of others start influencing the transaction? Rush Limbaugh was asked to be a member of a group wanting to buy the St. Louis Rams. Rush has the money, the love of football, and the desire to own a team. The opinions of the inmates running the asylum dictated otherwise. Because of the voices of these people, pressure has been placed on the group to drop Rush from it. What if all transactions worked this way? Could you imagine if your trip to the grocery store was like this...

"Hello, I'd like to buy a bag of potato chips." The story makes it out to the press. All types of different people, from media to people working at the store start weighing in. Your doctor says you don't need the potato chips because you are overweight. The employees at the store don't want you buying the chips because they don't want to work for someone like you. Media types start opining in prime time concerning how they don't want this to happen. Finally, the store decides they don't want you to buy the chips because they don't want to be "controversial" Because of the actions of the NFL, nothing would give me more delight than to see the Rams be sold to another group that moves the team back to LA or some other market. Allow all those people who called into radio complaining about Rush to lose their horrible high school team...and may their St. Louis winters be cold.
